I thought this was going to be a good item, but to my surprise, when I used it, it did not brew and it did not heat up. Once I returned it, I was only going to get a small refund, which was okay, but I have never received the refund. Dollarite owes me money, and I should have had it by now.
But after a week, the appliance stopped working for no apparent reason. I purchased a Hamilton Beach three-in-one hot beverage center as a gift for my friend. Thinking it was just a bad luck with a defective unit, I purchased another one. She was only too delighted to receive and use it. Everything was good - performance, design, ease of use and accessibility, which was a drawing card since both my friend and I are totally blind. It only worked for an hour and quit just as the first one did. I would not recommend it to anyone, as I consider it unreliable.
So as not to waste them, we open them up and dump the coffee in the included filter with this machine and the coffee comes out great. My son liked mine so much that I bought him one for his new place.One note on the pod thing.
This little machine is wonderful for 1 cup of coffee.quickly.using my beans. It's compact enough to sit on my counter right next to the Tassimo.
I have a Tassimo machine, which I absolutely love, but occasionally I'd like to use my own beans. I can even use pods with it.
There are times that I'm making myself a cappuccino and my partner a cup of coffee. They both finish at the same time, which is under 2 mins.
I bought Senseo pods and found them to be too weak in this machine. Since I like a strong cup of coffee, I make my own pods and they work great.
I immediately make a call to customer service. I received my Hot Beverage Center on time. They immediately sent me the pod holder. I did inventory to make sure I had all the parts. I discover that the pod holder was missing. I truly recommend the Hot Beverage Center to everyone. it makes very good coffee,tea,hot chocolate, etc and leave no coffee grains in my cup.
